Time Zone: The communities of Stanley County are split between two time zones. Some communities are located in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and they observe daylight saving time. The other communities are located in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and they observe daylight saving time.
The community of Fort Pierre is the Seat for Stanley County.
Stanley County was founded in 1873.
