Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Bainbridge had an population of 847 people. This is a decrease of 1.51% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 16.3% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Bainbridge had a population of 860 people. This makes Bainbridge the county's 4th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 860 people, the population of Bainbridge decreased 15.02% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,012 people).

We originally found mention of Bainbridge in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Bainbridge was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Bainbridge post office opened in 1806.

We also found Bainbridge in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
