The community of Pinedale is the Seat for Sublette County.

Sublette County was founded in 1921. Sublette was created by taking area from Fremont and Lincoln Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Sublette had a population of 9,867 people. This is a decrease of 3.71% since the last Census (which gave a population of 10,247 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sublette represented 1.82% of the total population of Wyoming.
