While we don't have a date for the founding of Whitewater, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Whitewater had an population of 14,870 people. This is an increase of 3.34% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 10.66% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Whitewater had a population of 14,390 people (or 14.08% of the total population of Walworth County). This makes Whitewater the county's most populous community.

The population of Whitewater represents 0.25% of the total population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 57th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 14,390 people, the population of Whitewater increased 7.09% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 13,437 people).
