The city of Whitehall is located in Trempealeau County<1> and is the County Seat for Trempealeau County.


The location of Whitehall has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Whitehall, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Whitehall has a population of 1,563 people<3> (see below for details).

Whitehall is 820 feet [250 m] above sea level.<4>.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Whitehall had an population of 1,563 people. This is an increase of 0.32% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 5.33% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Whitehall had a population of 1,558 people (which is 5.41% of the total population of Trempealeau County). This makes Whitehall the county's 6th most populous community.

The population of Whitehall represents 0.03% of the population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 557th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,558 people, the population of Whitehall decreased 5.63% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,651 people).
