Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Wautoma had an population of 2,128 people. This is a decrease of 4.06% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 6.51% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Wautoma had a population of 2,218 people (which is 9.05% of the total population of Waushara County). This makes Wautoma the county's most populous community.

The population of Wautoma represents 0.04% of the total population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 396th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,218 people, the population of Wautoma increased 11.01% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,998 people).

We originally found mention of Wautoma in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wautoma was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Wautoma post office opened in 1850.

We also found Wautoma in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
