Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Phillips had an population of 1,340 people. This is a decrease of 9.34% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 20% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Phillips had a population of 1,478 people (which is 10.44% of the total population of Price County). This makes Phillips the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Phillips represents 0.03% of the total population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 591st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,478 people, the population of Phillips decreased 11.76% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,675 people).

We originally found mention of Phillips in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Phillips was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Phillips post office opened in 1876.

We also found Phillips in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
