At the time of the 2010 Census, Oregon had a population of 9,231 people. This makes Oregon the county's 8th most populous community.

The population of Oregon represents 0.16% of the total population of Wisconsin (which has 5,686,986 people), making it the state's 98th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 9,231 people, the population of Oregon increased 22.85% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 7,514 people).

We originally found mention of Oregon in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Oregon was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Oregon post office opened in 1850.

We also found Oregon in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
