With a 2010 count of 3,236 people, the population of New Holstein decreased 1.97% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 3,301 people).

We originally found mention of New Holstein in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for New Holstein was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the New Holstein post office opened in 1850.

We also found New Holstein in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
