Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Wenatchee had an population of 34,318 people. This is an increase of 7.5% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 23.2% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Wenatchee had a population of 31,925 people (which is 44.06% of the total population of Chelan County). This makes Wenatchee the county's most populous community.

The population of Wenatchee represents 0.47% of the total population of Washington (which has 6,724,540 people), making it the state's 32nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 31,925 people, the population of Wenatchee increased 14.61% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 27,856 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wenatchee was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Wenatchee post office opened in 1889.
