Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Kennewick had an population of 84,265 people. This is an increase of 14% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 54.07% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Kennewick had a population of 73,917 people (or 42.2% of the total population of Benton County). This makes Kennewick the county's most populous community.

The population of Kennewick represents 1.1% of the population of Washington (which has 6,724,540 people), making it the state's 13th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 73,917 people, the population of Kennewick increased 35.15% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 54,693 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Kennewick was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>
