Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Shenandoah had an population of 2,337 people. This is a decrease of 1.52% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 24.44% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Shenandoah had a population of 2,373 people (which is 9.87% of the total population of Page County). This makes Shenandoah the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Shenandoah represents 0.03% of the total population of Virginia (which has 8,001,024 people), making it the state's 89th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,373 people, the population of Shenandoah increased 26.36% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 1,878 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Shenandoah was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Shenandoah post office opened in 1890.

We also found Shenandoah in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
