At the time of the 2010 Census, Yantis had a population of 388 people. This makes Yantis the county's 6th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 388 people, the population of Yantis increased 20.87% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 321 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Yantis was on a map titled Map of Texas (from Rand McNally, 1911).

We also found Yantis in the book titled .<8> From that list, the Yantis post office opened in 1885.
