From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Olton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Olton post office opened in 1903.

We also found Olton on a map titled Road Map for Texas (from Shell Oil, 1956).
