Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Fairview had an population of 9,129 people. This is an increase of 18.25% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 57.4% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Fairview had a population of 7,720 people. This makes Fairview the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Fairview represents 0.12% of the total population of Tennessee (which has 6,346,105 people), making it the state's 70th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 7,720 people, the population of Fairview increased 33.1% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 5,800 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Fairview was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Fairview post office opened in 1937.
