Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Cleveland had an population of 45,556 people. This is an increase of 10.35% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 22.49% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Cleveland had a population of 41,285 people (or 41.72% of the total population of Bradley County). This makes Cleveland the county's most populous community.

The population of Cleveland represents 0.65% of the population of Tennessee (which has 6,346,105 people), making it the state's 14th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 41,285 people, the population of Cleveland increased 11.01% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 37,192 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Cleveland was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Cleveland post office opened in 1836.

We also found Cleveland on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1860.
