Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Alcoa had an population of 10,004 people. This is an increase of 18.4% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 29.35% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Alcoa had a population of 8,449 people (which is 6.87% of the total population of Blount County). This makes Alcoa the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Alcoa represents 0.13% of the total population of Tennessee (which has 6,346,105 people), making it the state's 62nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 8,449 people, the population of Alcoa increased 9.24% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 7,734 people).
