Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Dallas had an population of 122 people. This is an increase of 1.67% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 15.28% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Dallas had a population of 120 people. This makes Dallas the county's 7th most populous community.

The population of Dallas represents 0.01% of the total population of South Dakota (which has 814,180 people), making it the state's 292nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 120 people, the population of Dallas decreased 16.67% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 144 people).

We originally found mention of Dallas in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Dallas was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Dallas post office opened in 1904.

We also found Dallas on a map titled Rand McNally Map of South Dakota (1937).
