At the time of the 2010 Census, Armour had a population of 699 people (or 23.28% of the total population of Douglas County). This makes Armour the county's most populous community.

The population of Armour represents 0.09% of the total population of South Dakota (which has 814,180 people), making it the state's 119th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 699 people, the population of Armour decreased 10.61% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 782 people).
