At the time of the 2010 Census, Sycamore had a population of 180 people. This makes Sycamore the county's 3rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 180 people, the population of Sycamore decreased 2.7% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 185 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Sycamore was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Sycamore post office opened in 1892.

We also found Sycamore in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
