Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Rock Hill had an population of 75,187 people. This is an increase of 13.65% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 51.08% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Rock Hill had a population of 66,154 people (or 29.26% of the total population of York County). This makes Rock Hill the county's most populous community.

The population of Rock Hill represents 1.43% of the total population of South Carolina (which has 4,625,364 people), making it the state's 5th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 66,154 people, the population of Rock Hill increased 32.93% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 49,765 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Rock Hill was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Rock Hill post office opened in 1852.
