Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sylvania had an population of 210 people. This is a decrease of 4.11% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 5% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sylvania had a population of 219 people. This makes Sylvania the county's 11th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 219 people, the population of Sylvania increased 9.5% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 200 people).
