While we don't have a date for the founding of Sugarcreek, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Sugarcreek has a population of 4,924 people<3> (see below for details).

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sugarcreek had an population of 4,924 people. This is a decrease of 6.99% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 7.63% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sugarcreek had a population of 5,294 people (or 9.63% of the total population of Venango County). This makes Sugarcreek the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Sugarcreek represents 0.04% of the population of Pennsylvania (which has 12,702,379 people), making it the state's 180th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 5,294 people, the population of Sugarcreek has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 5,331 people).
