Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Saltsburg had an population of 804 people. This is a decrease of 7.9% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 15.81% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Saltsburg had a population of 873 people. This makes Saltsburg the county's 5th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 873 people, the population of Saltsburg decreased 8.59% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 955 people).
