At the time of the 2010 Census, Ridgway had a population of 4,078 people (which is 12.77% of the total population of Elk County). This makes Ridgway the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Ridgway represents 0.03% of the population of Pennsylvania (which has 12,702,379 people), making it the state's 248th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 4,078 people, the population of Ridgway decreased 11.17% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 4,591 people).
