At the time of the 2010 Census, Tillamook had a population of 4,935 people (which is 19.54% of the total population of Tillamook County). This makes Tillamook the county's most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tillamook was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<9>

From that list, the Tillamook post office opened in 1866.

We also found Tillamook in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
