Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Gresham had an population of 109,347 people. This is an increase of 3.55% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 21.22% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Gresham had a population of 105,594 people (which is 14.36% of the total population of Multnomah County). This makes Gresham the county's most populous community.

The population of Gresham represents 2.76% of the population of Oregon (which has 3,831,074 people), making it the state's 4th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 105,594 people, the population of Gresham increased 17.06% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 90,205 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Gresham was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Gresham post office opened in 1884.

We also found Gresham in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
