At the time of the 2010 Census, Gladstone had a population of 11,497 people. This makes Gladstone the county's 10th most populous community.

The population of Gladstone represents 0.3% of the population of Oregon (which has 3,831,074 people), making it the state's 43rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 11,497 people, the population of Gladstone has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 11,438 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Gladstone was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Gladstone post office opened in 1890.
