At the time of the 2010 Census, Antlers had a population of 2,453 people (which is 21.2% of the total population of Pushmataha County). This makes Antlers the county's most populous community.

The population of Antlers represents 0.07% of the total population of Oklahoma (which has 3,751,351 people), making it the state's 129th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,453 people, the population of Antlers decreased 3.88% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,552 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Antlers was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Antlers post office opened in 1887.
