At the time of the 2010 Census, Minerva had a population of 3,720 people. This makes Minerva the county's most populous community.

The population of Minerva represents 0.03% of the population of Ohio (which has 11,536,504 people), making it the state's 291st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 3,720 people, the population of Minerva decreased 5.44% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 3,934 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Minerva was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Minerva post office opened in 1828.

We also found Minerva in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
