At the time of the 2010 Census, Medina had a population of 26,678 people (which is 15.48% of the total population of Medina County). This makes Medina the county's 2nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 26,678 people, the population of Medina increased 6.12% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 25,139 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Medina was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Medina post office opened in 1819.
