At the time of the 2010 Census, Logan had a population of 7,152 people (or 24.34% of the total population of Hocking County). This makes Logan the county's most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 7,152 people, the population of Logan increased 6.68% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 6,704 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Logan was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Logan post office opened in 1817.

We also found Logan in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
