The location of Jerusalem has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2> The pronunciation of Jerusalem: juh-REW-suh-lum<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Jerusalem, you might consider that their post office opened in 1850. From the Census Estimates for 2019, Jerusalem has a population of 148 people<4> (see below for details). Jerusalem is 1,250 feet [381 m] above sea level.<5>. Time Zone: Jerusalem lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time The area code for Jerusalem: (740) Population Details ...Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Jerusalem had an population of 148 people. This is a decrease of 8.07% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 2.63% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Jerusalem had a population of 161 people. This makes Jerusalem the county's 5th most populous community. With a 2010 count of 161 people, the population of Jerusalem increased 5.92% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 152 people).
