Morrow County was founded March 1, 1848. Morrow was created by taking area from Knox, Marion, Delaware and Richland Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Morrow had a population of 35,342 people. This is an increase of 1.48% since the last Census (which gave a population of 34,827 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Morrow represented 0.3% of the total population of Ohio.
