While we don't have a date for the founding of Carlisle, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Carlisle had an population of 5,466 people. This is an increase of 11.21% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 6.74% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Carlisle had a population of 4,915 people. This makes Carlisle the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Carlisle represents 0.04% of the total population of Ohio (which has 11,536,504 people), making it the state's 247th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 4,915 people, the population of Carlisle decreased 4.02% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 5,121 people).
