Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Aurora had an population of 16,334 people. This is an increase of 5.06% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 20.49% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Aurora had a population of 15,548 people (which is 9.63% of the total population of Portage County). This makes Aurora the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Aurora represents 0.13% of the total population of Ohio (which has 11,536,504 people), making it the state's 116th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 15,548 people, the population of Aurora increased 14.69% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 13,556 people).
