At the time of the 2010 Census, Wells had a population of 1,292 people. This makes Wells the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Wells represents 0.05% of the population of Nevada (which has 2,700,551 people), making it the state's 18th most populous community.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wells was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Wells post office opened in 1869.

We also found Wells in the book titled List of Post Offices in the United States (1870).
