The community of Tijeras is 6,390 feet [1,948 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Tijeras is about 1¼ mile [or ~2 km] above sea level. Population Details ...Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Tijeras had an population of 533 people. This is a decrease of 1.48% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 12.45% since the 2000 Census). At the time of the 2010 Census, Tijeras had a population of 541 people. This makes Tijeras the county's 5th most populous community. The population of Tijeras represents 0.03% of the population of New Mexico (which has 2,059,179 people), making it the state's 74th most populous community.
