Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Las Cruces had an population of 103,700 people. This is an increase of 6.23% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 39.63% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Las Cruces had a population of 97,618 people (which is 46.66% of the total population of Dona Ana County). This makes Las Cruces the county's most populous community.

The population of Las Cruces represents 4.74% of the total population of New Mexico (which has 2,059,179 people), making it the state's 2nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 97,618 people, the population of Las Cruces increased 31.44% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 74,267 people).
