With a 2010 count of 82 people, the population of Encino decreased 12.77% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 94 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Encino was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Encino post office opened in 1904.

We also found Encino on a map titled Rand McNally Map of New Mexico (1920).
