Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Albuquerque had an population of 560,786 people. This is an increase of 2.74% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 25.01% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Albuquerque had a population of 545,852 people (which is 82.38% of the total population of Bernalillo County). This makes Albuquerque the county's most populous community.

The population of Albuquerque represents 26.51% of the total population of New Mexico (which has 2,059,179 people), making it the state's most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 545,852 people, the population of Albuquerque increased 21.68% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 448,607 people).
