At the time of the 2010 Census, Long Branch had a population of 30,719 people. This makes Long Branch the county's most populous community.

The population of Long Branch represents 0.35% of the population of New Jersey (which has 8,791,894 people), making it the state's 22nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 30,719 people, the population of Long Branch decreased 1.98% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 31,340 people).
