Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Camden had an population of 73,575 people. This is a decrease of 4.87% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 7.92% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Camden had a population of 77,344 people (or 15.06% of the total population of Camden County). This makes Camden the county's most populous community.

The population of Camden represents 0.88% of the total population of New Jersey (which has 8,791,894 people), making it the state's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 77,344 people, the population of Camden decreased 3.2% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 79,904 people).
