From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Wymore was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<9>

From that list, the Wymore post office opened in 1881.

We also found Wymore on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
