At the time of the 2010 Census, Valley had a population of 1,875 people. This makes Valley the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Valley represents 0.1% of the total population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 60th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,875 people, the population of Valley increased 4.87% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,788 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Valley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Valley post office opened in 1869.
