While we don't have a date for the founding of Tilden, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1895.

At the time of the 2010 Census, Tilden had a population of 953 people. This makes Tilden the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Tilden represents 0.05% of the total population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 117th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 953 people, the population of Tilden decreased 11.6% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,078 people).
