Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Saint Paul had an population of 2,326 people. This is an increase of 1.57% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 4.87% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Saint Paul had a population of 2,290 people (or 36.5% of the total population of Howard County). This makes Saint Paul the county's most populous community.

The population of Saint Paul represents 0.13% of the total population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 52nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,290 people, the population of Saint Paul increased 3.25% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,218 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Saint Paul was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Saint Paul post office opened in 1871.

We also found Saint Paul on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
