At the time of the 2010 Census, Hebron had a population of 1,579 people (or 30.2% of the total population of Thayer County). This makes Hebron the county's most populous community.

The population of Hebron represents 0.09% of the population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 72nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,579 people, the population of Hebron has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (with a count of 1,565 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hebron was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Hebron post office opened in 1869.

We also found Hebron in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
