At the time of the 2010 Census, Geneva had a population of 2,217 people (which is 37.64% of the total population of Fillmore County). This makes Geneva the county's most populous community.

The population of Geneva represents 0.12% of the population of Nebraska (which has 1,826,341 people), making it the state's 53rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,217 people, the population of Geneva has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,226 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Geneva was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>

From that list, the Geneva post office opened in 1873.
