At the time of the 2010 Census, Arthur had a population of 117 people (which is 25.43% of the total population of Arthur County). This makes Arthur the county's most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 117 people, the population of Arthur decreased 19.31% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 145 people).

We originally found mention of Arthur in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Arthur was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Arthur post office opened in 1914.

We also found Arthur on a map titled Map of the Lincoln Highway (1924).
